Is this right for my stage?
The Academy is designed for your foundation years in finance: trainees, juniors, newly qualified accountants and people moving from practice into industry. The foundations explain the statements and core processes; later tracks cover the technical and commercial work you grow into. Try the entire Balance Sheet unit free to get a feel for the level.
Is £49 a subscription?
No. £49 is a one-off payment for lifetime course access, including Orso World and the guide library. Optional mentorship costs an additional £99 per hour.
How do the exams and assessments work?
You practise through unit decision checks, interactive workbooks and Lab challenges, including the FP&A test-yourself unit. Orso World adds manager-reviewed assignments. These are practice assessments with feedback, rather than accredited professional exams. The Academy supports your practical development alongside your qualification.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Try the sample decision on this page, open the full free Balance Sheet unit, or play the Payables assignment in Orso World. The free unit includes all six lessons, five checks, the full workbook and its PDF cheat sheet. You do not need a student account. The other 28 course units are reserved for enrolled members.
How much time do I need?
There are no cohort dates or fixed weekly commitments. Study at your own pace and revisit the units you need. Orso World assignments are designed for roughly 15 to 25 minutes each; the time you spend on lessons and workbooks depends on your starting point.
How do I get access?
Pay through the secure Stripe checkout and access is instant: an email invitation arrives within moments, you choose your own password and you are in. Use the same student account for the course and Orso World. Existing students can go straight to student login.
Do I need mentorship or special software?
Mentorship is optional. The course’s interactive workbooks and Orso World run in your browser. You can add an hour with Ranbir from your portal when you want individual guidance.
Does the course work outside the UK?
The core finance skills apply across many businesses. The technical track uses IFRS, while tax and other lessons identify regional examples where relevant. Local rules and your employer’s policies still matter when you apply the learning at work.
